Good period hygiene is about comfort, confidence and health. A few simple habits make a big difference every month.
Change your pad regularly
Change your sanitary pad every 4 to 6 hours, or sooner on heavy days. Even if the pad does not feel full, regular changes reduce odour and the risk of irritation and infection.
Pick the right size for each day
- Regular or XL pads for normal flow during the day
- XXL or overnight pads for heavy flow and sleeping
- Panty liners for light days, spotting or everyday freshness
Keep it clean
- Wash your hands before and after changing a pad
- Clean the area with plain water and dry gently – avoid scented soaps
- Wear breathable cotton underwear
- Store pads in a clean, dry place
Dispose of pads safely
Wrap used pads in their wrapper or a paper bag and put them in a covered bin. Never flush pads down the toilet – they block pipes and harm the environment.
When to see a doctor
Talk to a health worker if you have very heavy bleeding, severe pain, periods lasting longer than seven days, or itching and unusual discharge.
Evora sanitary pads are ultra-thin with an odour-neutralising layer and a breathable back sheet for all-day comfort.
