A surgical mask only protects you and others when it is worn properly. Here is how to get it right every time.
Putting on your mask
- Wash or sanitise your hands.
- Hold the mask by the ear loops with the coloured side facing out and the metal nose wire at the top.
- Loop it over both ears.
- Press the nose wire so it fits the shape of your nose.
- Pull the bottom edge down so it covers your mouth and chin.
While wearing it
- Avoid touching the front of the mask
- Do not pull it under your chin or leave your nose uncovered
- Keep a spare mask with you
When to replace it
Surgical masks are single-use. Replace your mask when it becomes damp, dirty or damaged, and at least every 4 to 6 hours of continuous use.
Taking it off safely
Remove the mask by the ear loops without touching the front, throw it in a closed bin and wash your hands.
Evora Disposable Surgical Masks are 3-layer, latex-free and come in sealed boxes of 50.
